Sustainable fashion does not mean only buying from one brand or only wearing organic cotton. It means buying less, choosing better, and making each piece last longer.
Three principles we follow
1. Choose natural fibres where it matters. Linen, cotton, silk, wool, and merino age better than synthetics. They breathe, they biodegrade, and they often look better five years in than they did on day one.
2. Buy for cost-per-wear. A 200 GBP coat worn 100 times costs 2 GBP per wear. A 30 GBP coat worn 5 times costs 6 GBP. Quality is the cheaper option in the long run.
3. Care for what you own. Wash less, mend more, store properly. Most clothes are thrown away long before they are worn out.
What to look for at the rail
Heavier weight fabrics, finished hems, real seam allowances, buttons that feel substantial. The details that cost the maker more are the ones that make the piece last longer for you.
